Will my formulas and formatting be kept?
Formulas convert to their calculated values, and the PDF shows a clean gridded table of that data — cell colors, conditional formatting and charts aren’t reproduced.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — nothing is ever uploaded. The spreadsheet is read and converted entirely inside this browser tab. There's no server involved at all, so there's nothing for Altto to see, copy or keep.
What happens with multiple sheets?
Every sheet in the workbook is converted, each starting on its own page in the PDF, in the same order as your file.
What if my sheet has more than 10 columns?
Only the first 10 columns are included so the table stays readable on the page — consider splitting very wide sheets first.
Does this work with the older .xls format?
Not yet — only the modern .xlsx format (Excel 2007 and later) is supported. Save your file as .xlsx from Excel first if needed.
Do you keep a copy of my file?
No. There's no upload, so there's nothing on our side to keep. See the Privacy Policy for details.
